Plumeria, the state flower that grows on a tree. They are
beautiful but don't last long when they fall off the tree. They
turn brown within hours even if they are in water.
My first attempt at curly hair in Hawaii with the help of humidity.
It looked good here but by the end of the day not so good, and
the next day really not so good. Also my new swimsuit I had to
buy here cause I realized the end of the summer that my swimsuits
were too big so I was lucky to find a really cute one at a little shop
a few doors down from the hotel.
The Flee Market/Swap at the Aloha Stadium. Goes in a complete
circle all the way around the stadium. We spent hours here and
didn't even cover 1/4 of the area. We found most of our souvenirs
here at half the cost that regular stores were selling things for.
Visiting a sweet sister that Jeff baptized on his mission.
Here we are looking at all of her photos of missionaries
that she has worked with and had to her home since she
was baptized.
By the time we left the dear sisters home and were headed to
the north shore to go to the beach it was getting dark so when
we arrived it was all the way dark. We used a restroom at the
beach and I found this lovely cockroach outside the restroom.
Needless to say I passed using it and waited til we got back! :)
I tried to see if I could get a picture of the ocean and in doing
so didn't realize there had been a cat in the rocks.
In Hawaii in the winter it gets dark fast which seems weird, cause
when it's warm in Utah the nights don't get dark until late so we
made our way back from the north shore to see the Aloha Tower
It has Aloha and a clock on all 4 sides of the tower. In former days
before the airports were built in Hawaii, tourists would come on cruise
ships and would dock at the Aloha Tower. The town people would stop
what they were doing and all come to the dock when people arrived to
welcome them and give them flour lei's and the band would play music.
