Have you ever ordered something online and then had to wait for the item to arrive?

Well last week after being told by 2 doctors that if I exercised more it might help my back and make my stomach issues better. So thinking that these doctors knew what they were talking about I ordered the long wanted Elliptical exercise machine for my house.

Gyms are expensive and I know myself, I probably would come home from work and not make it to the gym and waste my money.

I've been so excited for it that everyday I've been tracking it's progress through the UPS site from state to state. Today the highly anticipated elliptical showed that it finally made it to Salt Lake City and should be delivered to Walmart for my pickup!

I've talked my neighbors Melissa and Josh aka Sa and Shoo Shoo to help me get it from the store (cause it's heavy and big) and use Shoo Shoo's muscles to put together my prize. When I get it I should do my own little Biggest loser on my blog to see if it does help me get into better shape or if it becomes another dust collector.

Today at 2:30 I heard the familiar ding on my computer telling me that I had an email and there it was...the email saying that my elliptical was ready for pick up and to be prepared cause it's big! Yeah the wait is almost over, and the test will be to get my schedule to match with Sa's and Shoo's to go pick it up and bring it home.

My Eliptical

MONDAY

I awoke this morning thinking that it was going to be a good day. I was getting ready and heard my phone ringing. It was 6:45 to early for normal conversation, it could only be trouble in the form of bus trouble. It was Rhett, he was driving to Park City as usual in bus #5 and was not even to Lamb's Canyon when he heard a noise kind of like an explosion in the back of the bus. He immediately found a place to pull off on the freeway and called me.

The only option at this point for him was to drive back down the canyon with much caution, to get another bus. Allen who drives the other Park City bus but picks up the little kids continued up the canyon to start picking up all students at all stops until Rhett could get the other bus and start back up the canyon again. Rhett coasted back to campus and I was so grateful that he made it safely.

Because the bus is only 2 months old we were told to bring it in to have it fixed. Rhett tried driving it and it had barely enough power to go 12 miles an hour so he turned around and came back to the school. Once at the school and parked I noticed some pools of oil under the bus on the left rear. Rhett kept saying I don't know if those belong to this bus. He started the engine up again, and I immediately found a broken clamp to the exhaust which made the exhaust hose blacker than black. So we figured that was the problem. In the back of my mind I kept thinking that oil has to be this bus it was just to fresh of oil. So I got under the bus and looked for a trail of oil and the picture above is what I found. The source of our problem!

Ron came out during the day and fixed both problems so we thought...

At 3:55 Rhett was yet again making his way up the canyon, with 44 students this time when the explosion happened. Luckily he was not as far up the canyon as he was this morning. He called me with the news and I awaited his arrival at the school to switch buses again. I checked under the bus yet again and found the same hose out but worse this time. 44 teenagers were a bit freaked out and making phone calls to parents about what was going on.

Needless to say Ron was called and he showed up 40 minutes later to fix the same problem. 20 minutes later he promised me that it was fixed. Rhett took it for a test run up the canyon with no problems, and we are going to take a chance and use it tomorrow morning.

I didn't get home until 7:00 tonight which made for a very long day, but by the end of the day it was worth the stay. The most important thing is that all students are safe and I'm praying tonight for a safe drive tomorrow!

Traditions

It's the first of February once again and it has brought me to so much reflection. A year ago Kym, Amy and I went to look at some condos for sale and I spent 4 very stressful days getting together all the paperwork to get a loan to buy one of those condos we looked at. It was so stressful that I found myself in the doctors office on that 4th day. It was then that I realized that no matter how stressful my life was at that moment, that it would change my life in a big way but that it needed to for progression. The hardest part about the decision would be not living with 2 of my longest (years) and greatest roommates I've ever had who have loved me so unconditionally that we have become sisters. And I knew that I would miss them and their everyday influence terribly but the promptings of the spirit were stronger. Throughout the year we have grown so close and spent hours together, talking, highlighting hair, walking, shopping, eating, watching movies, traveling, crying, and just being there each day for each other. During those years we started watching TV shows together and recently they have started up again, and we find that we can't watch them without each other. During last years home buying stress Kym's birthday arrived on the blessed Feb 11th and we went to the Cheesecake Factory. So as tradition we went again for her birthday, This year may bring change for them as is did for me last year. It makes me sad to think that within 3-4 months they both may leave the state, but deep down I will be happy for them doing what will make them be more happy and thrive. I really hope that this is not the last picture of the three of us on one of our birthdays, but if it is I will cherish is always!
