HAWAII 10/25

Today's Travels: Mission home in daylight, Punchbowl Cemetery,
Nuuanu Pali Lookout, Kailua beach, Halona Blow Hole, Airport,
Maui, Lahaina, and Maui Hard Rock Cafe

Another Amazing Banyan Tree by the mission home. The tree's
grow down and when they get to the ground they re-root themselves.

This is the base of the tree with re-rooted branches

Flowers outside of the complex next to the Mission home

The Punchbowl

Very windy day and I should not have worn a skirt! My
lovely not so great curly hair and how well it didn't
handle the wind

Chapel at the top of the cemetery

Looking at the headstones

Wanted this picture for this post but it wouldn't stay the direction
I needed it. It's one of an unknown person who died on Dec. 7, 1941
during Pearl Harbor aboard a ship.

View of the lines of headstones, and beautiful trees

The tree's that line the roadways. Tree's here grow up a bit and
then grow out, where tree's in Utah mostly grow up and are taller.

More tree's and headstones in the mossy grass

My favorite tree in the punchbowl

Pali Lookout looking out to the West coast and ocean

Still a windy day at the Pali Lookout
Also where I flashed 2 Male Oriental tourists,
when my skirt came flying up.

Leaving Pali

So windy at the Kailua beach, that sand was everywhere
in our purses. Mom very unaware of her picture being taken

Kailua beach very stormy looking but no rain

Mom realizing what I was doing... :)

Somewhat OK with this one. Our hair looks just awesome
with the never ending wind.

Kailua Beach

See how lovely my hair isn't?

Halona Blow Hole Overlook

Still windy, Halona Blow Hole

Seriously can't tell you in words how windy it was!

Ya didn't even know I was flashing anyone in this picture.
Shortly after I ended up flashing an even larger group of
male orientals when my skirt flew up yet again. Man I
was way more embarrassed this time.

The actual Blow Hole

Halona before the rains came and just before heading
to the airport for our short flight to Maui

We got to Maui in the evening and made our drive in the
dark to the condo in Lahaina. Our rental car in Oahu was
really nice and pretty, just wait til you see what they gave
us in Maui. Everyone blamed the ugliness on me!

We found the condo in Maui called the Outrigger Aina Nalu, which
was just wonderful and we found that Oahu also had Outriggers
and we could have stayed in them while in Oahu. Next time.

In Maui we were just a block away from the Old Lahaina shopping
center and restaurants. So we left everything in our condo and walked
down to the shopping area and to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner.

Me and Dessa

My Meal, the BBQ Pork sandwich and garlic Potatoes! It
was so good and one of my favorite meals in Hawaii

Grocery store shopping for breakfast foods so we could
make breakfast in our condo. Here is the cost of the milk
on sale mind you, regularly $7.99. Dairy was super expensive in Hawaii
