I met a guy in January at a Potluck and we talked about his curry that he made. He was nice but I didn't think anything about going out with him.
This guys home was the place where FHE was held on Monday. I spent the whole time observing Smart Guy and didn't even pay attention to this guy who we will call Electronic Guy (Why? Well he had more electronics and speakers than I know what to do with) tonight I checked my facebook and Electronic Guy had sent me a message.
"What's up Amy!? Hows your week been? Got any exciting weekend plans? :)"
To me it sounds like Electronic Guy was asking to see if I was available for the weekend. I know spontaneous is good but to be honest...when it's not someone you necessarily want to go out with short notice is not an exciting or desirable quality. And I've never received a date offer over facebook so it put me off a bit. Considering everything it was still Flattering. I have to give Electronic Guy 8 points for effort considering he doesn't have my phone number...because I'm not offering it out as freely these days.
For those out there with more experience, was Electronic Guy asking me out? Or am I just reading into something friendly and casual?
I responded with, "Hey, it's been busy and my weekend is just as busy with plans and work. :) You?"
I am actually way busy this weekend with dog sitting, friends on Friday and working on Saturday most the day, making it impossible to get together...so the poor guy didn't even stand a chance against my schedule.
Wishing the message had been from Smart Guy rather than Electronic Guy. My gut says I'm not interested but maybe it's worth going out once.
