SMART GUY

Alicia and I went to Family Home Evening last night. I went hoping for any kind of experience to blog about. I was only there for maybe 5 minutes when I found myself standing in the middle of the living room trying to decide what to do next.

When I turned to my left I saw this guy who we will call
"Smart Guy" walking in our direction. I've been told by
many in the last 2 months that I shouldn't be afraid to
be me...the take charge, get em done kind of person...
and take action in my dating life. What have I got to loose? So I took a chance and put myself out there and turned towards Smart Guy and introduced myself.

Smart Guy and I talked for a bit, then talked with
others, then by ourselves again. The lesson started
and we were asked to split into groups of two. I turned
in Smart Guys direction just to see what he was
thinking and he motioned that we should be a team.

After the lesson Smart Guy and I continued to sit next
to each other but our conversations were with others sitting around us. I finished my conversation and Smart Guy finished his and we started talking again. It became time to leave and we both stood up and kinda him hawed around and finally I stepped forward and did it...I said to him as we stood there looking at each other "We should do something some time" and Smart Guy said "Ya we really should, I should get your number."

So...I gave him my number and he said he would give me a call.

He is tall, has red-ish blonde hair, is very quiet, somewhat shy, and smart (he's a pharmacist). I could tell just from the short evening that he has a great spirit about him. So yes I hope he calls and see what happens!

Was I surprised with the results of putting
myself out there? Yes! But a good surprised.
