11.11.11 and 11 WEEKS

11 weeks ago today Brian and I went out on our first date.
We went to a little Italian restaurant called "Fratelli Ristorante"
and then to see Cowboys and Alien's at the megaplex.
(I spent most of the movie with my eyes closed and jumping because
of the creepy Aliens but Brian found the movie entertaining)

Brian and I met in May 2010 but it was a brief interaction at
a movie theater seeing Iron Man 2 for our mutual
friend Heather's birthday.

A year later in May of this year we met again at Heather's
birthday and we recognized each other from the previous year. From
the very start of the evening Brian was sweet and attentive to
me. I was stuck on Georgia guy at this time so half way
through the party I blew him off!

Not my brightest or best moment!!!!

note: I have since apologized for my mistake

July I was at the salon getting my haircut when this guy walked
in and it's not often that you see a guy in there so of course
I had to turn to see what he looked like...
To my surprise it was Brian...

We talked for a few minutes before he went back to start his haircut.
My girl told me that it was fate that put us together at the salon.
I have since thought about the odds of it happening...

First it's an obscure little salon out in West Valley.
Second I get my haircut on Thursdays not Tuesdays, and
Brian generally goes on Saturdays not Tuesdays.
Third we both have been getting haircuts there for at least
2+ years and have not ran into each other.

I left the salon not thinking anything would come of our
chance meeting. I had blown him off and I was still not sure
what I wanted at that point. He was happy to see me
but wasn't going to ask me out because I had blown him off.

The powers that be were stronger than us and we were thrown
together again on August 13th exactly 3 months to the day of
when I had blown him off. Heather invited me to see
Captain America with her and Brian. I almost didn't
go because I thought it would be awkward. But my desire to
see Captain America was stronger and I did go.

The huge smile on his face when I saw him and the sweet moments
before, during and after the movie made it easy to just give it a
chance and see what happened. By being myself and having fun
I was given a second chance.

The next week Brian took a huge leap and asked Heather for my
phone number and obviously when he called for a date I said yes!!!!

11 weeks later Brian has blown every other loser out of the water
with his love and affection for me!

I will always be so very grateful for my second chance and for
Brian taking a second look to see me for who I really am!

I am grateful and excited and for change, the future, companionship,

support, friendship, quality time, and LOVE!!!!!

Brian THANK YOU!!!
