Cammie's Wedding

In 2002 while working at the Book Table in Logan, a co-worker
found out that there was a Borders store opening up in town and
forced me to apply. Needless to say I was hired and started at
Borders in October 2002. When Borders opens a new store they
would send management from other Borders stores to help open
the new store. Cammie was one of the first people I met, she was
the General manager for the Murray Borders.

In 2005 I decided I needed a change, and there was an opening
in Cammie's store of which I applied for. It wasn't a position I
wanted but would get my foot in the door for other
opportunities and move to Salt Lake.

In the meantime I had trained a new General Manager for
the Salt Lake Downtown store named Teddi on one of the stores
computer personal programs. Word got to her that I was
looking to come to Salt Lake, and I was asked to interview with her
as well. I felt better about what Teddi was offering me and made my transfer and move to Salt Lake within a week and a half. I worked
at the Downtown store for little over a year til the store was closed
for the new mall demolition. Before the store closed I was offered a
job in Cammie's store. After 4 years I finally got to work with
Cammie, and she was a great manager and friend!

My Nines Addiction

One Saturday night about 2 months ago my neighbors Melissa
and Josh invited me over to play "Nines" a new game they learned.
We stayed up til 1:00 in the morning playing. Needless to say we
were a bit tired for Church the next day and I found a favorite game.

About a month ago I played with my friends Mike and Elena and
was told to bring tissue for my crying when I lost. I brought
the tissues just in case Mike would need them when I wooped him
at "Nines" The feeling of victory felt great! A rematch has not
yet been scheduled.

While Dog sitting for the Lattins this last weekend I had Nicole
and Michael over for dinner and "Nines". Neither had played so
I thought it would be an easy win with all of my experience and
I ended up last! I told Nicole that it was beginners luck but
she begs to differ! :)

Things That Make Me Love My Job

1. Being encircled by kids under my umbrella during a snow or rain storm.
2. Receiving students art projects as a gift
3. Receiving letters from a secret Admirer
4. Getting my picture taken for a students art project
5. Being asked for a nickname cause I've given everyone else one!
6. Being hugged in the lunchroom
7. Getting talked about in classes by students
8. Hearing funny reasons why they don't have to wear seatbelts!
9. Being offered after school snacks
10. Seeing huge smiles on all their faces

TUESDAY

Have you ever ordered something online and then had to wait for the item to arrive?

Well last week after being told by 2 doctors that if I exercised more it might help my back and make my stomach issues better. So thinking that these doctors knew what they were talking about I ordered the long wanted Elliptical exercise machine for my house.

Gyms are expensive and I know myself, I probably would come home from work and not make it to the gym and waste my money.

I've been so excited for it that everyday I've been tracking it's progress through the UPS site from state to state. Today the highly anticipated elliptical showed that it finally made it to Salt Lake City and should be delivered to Walmart for my pickup!

I've talked my neighbors Melissa and Josh aka Sa and Shoo Shoo to help me get it from the store (cause it's heavy and big) and use Shoo Shoo's muscles to put together my prize. When I get it I should do my own little Biggest loser on my blog to see if it does help me get into better shape or if it becomes another dust collector.

Today at 2:30 I heard the familiar ding on my computer telling me that I had an email and there it was...the email saying that my elliptical was ready for pick up and to be prepared cause it's big! Yeah the wait is almost over, and the test will be to get my schedule to match with Sa's and Shoo's to go pick it up and bring it home.
